The situation
A world-class athlete was making the transition from sports to public life and a career in the media. The difficulty that he was having lay in the fact that he was very shy, and so did not allow his wit, intelligence and warmth to show.
What Kuhnke Communication did
Kuhnke Communication adopted a twin-track approach. We explored issues around confidence and developed a programme of exercises addressing voice and body-language. In addition we filmed the client telling personal, real-life stories until he felt comfortable and at ease, so that he could then see himself at his best.
The outcome
The client was able to make a successful transition from speaking as a private individual to his new role in the media, where his career is flourishing.
